Italian is the official language of Italy and the state of San Marino. It is spoken fluently by most of the people in this country. Italian is the third most spoken language in Switzerland (after German and French), although its use has declined modestly since 1970. This language is also used in the administrative and official documents of the Vatican City State. Due to the massive influence during the colonial period, the Italian language is also used in some former colonies, such as Libya, Eritrea, Somalia. Although over 17 million Americans are of Italian descent, just over a million people in the United States speak Italian at home. However, there is a media market in Italian.
At our center we offer a wide variety of courses to learn to speak Italian fluently and correctly, either in small group courses or in individual courses with a flexible schedule. We organize Italian language courses for adults for all levels of knowledge of the Italian language – from beginner level (A1) to advanced level (C1). Our courses take place throughout the year in modules of about 6 months with 1 session per week, in the afternoon. Each of these courses covers the costs of color textbooks along with many additional materials, which the course teacher deems necessary for each group or individual student.
Registrations take place throughout the year, and the groups are organized according to the requests received in a minimum of 3, maximum 5 people. We train students to take the CILS certification exams of the University for Foreigners of Siena or CELI of the University for Foreigners of Perugia. Upon request, specialized courses can be organized (Italian for legal, medical or even tourism).
In order to join one of our courses, at the level you need, older students or those who have learned Italian from other sources, will receive a free of charge test at our center.
We are looking forward for you to join us at our headquarters to study the Italian language in an engaging way, which emphasizes the communication and the real situations in which an adult may find himself. Through this modern method of teaching, teachers are only mediators of the information and moderators of the discussions between students.
For each level of knowledge of the language, as for the rest of the languages within the European Union, the following 4 competences are assessed:
oral comprehension;
oral expression;
